When I started this blog I thought about reading lots of classical books, books everyone should have read... By the time I recognised that I can't just read classic books, sometimes I just need something else. So I try to write something about every book I read in here, sometimes in German and sometimes in English. I think it will depend on the language of the book I read.
But I will keep the lists on the right side alive and so keep some track of my reading of classical books!
Happy Reading everyone!

Peter Pan

J. M. Barrie - Peter Pan

Yeah, back to classic reading finally. And to a book which I wanted to read for a long time as everybody knows all the movies about Peter Pan but very few ever read it.
I really enjoyed reading this book and learn about the original story of Peter Pan, a boy who is not always as great as Disney would make us think but also has his moments. The story about the three children who left their parents to explore an island, of which they have often dreamed and who don't think much about home for a long time. But one day they all return home and they loose their belief and their ability to fly...
A great book, somehow different from my expectations, but full of truth about being a child and growing up.
